Do cleaners have their own insurance?

Are all cleaning companies insured or is this not a legal requirement? How beneficial is it in practice if a cleaning service is insured?

"Most cleaning companies and individuals will be insured with a public liability policy to cover any damage that can sometimes happen, depending on the service is supplied insurance costs are very reasonable for a policy, all commercial work carried out by other companies will have to show insurance details before being contacted out, any customer wishing to receive some work done in their own homes can and should ask if they are insured and get insurance details emailed or shown before they get a job confirmation from yourself! I would also like to say only in case there’s a problem please have a quote and job description etc in writing email or text from the trader and reply back confirming etc and both parties have details to keep until the job is done!
Please remember written or discussion with the quote being approved you are both in a legal binding contract!
Experience in breach of contract with customers as I set up a business with both parties in the wrong and with short time reading information about it I have learned a great deal on sole trader issues between customers I never had a clue! Make sure they are insured just in case!"

"Hi, I think that you are best dealing with a company that is insured to be fair, it should be a legal requirement but unfortunately it isn't always the case"

"Hey I only have insurance because I have a little business but it’s not essential it’s just peice of mind so if anything was ever to be broken or damaged we can claim for the clients for example"
