Advice for installing window in cavity wall

What steps should be taken and what must be considered when installing a window into a cavity wall?

"Sounds like a terraced house,
Both sides should have 2×3 timber screwed into the cavity to ensure a good fix then plenty of expanding foam applied after the window is fitted. Wait for the foam to go off then trim up inside and seal in and out."
