  • Window in porch to be removed

We have a porch which has 2 windows alongside it.. Is it possible to remove/take one out and bricklayer/plaster it so I can make a tiny mud room space on that side instead and put some coat hangers? Our porch is really narrow tho. Thank you

    Suspect Planning Department

A friend lives in a semi and the next door has been sold. Building work started with the concrete roof tiles being replaced with slates At the time Planning permission had not been granted The join between the different roofs has been covered with ridge tiles which are not placed accurately over the join. In other words the top tile is fully on my friends roof and the bottom tile fully on the other partys roof. The planning dept were told but they have given planning permission for the change. As the new house owner spent money buying slates which might not have got planning permission I suspect he has a friend of influence

    Block paved driveway dipping

Hello I had a large area of my garden block paved a few months ago. It looks great but I have started to notice some dipping in 2 areas. Its not a big worry but I am slightly concerned if it begins to get worse. I have spoke to the company that installed it and they're coming to take a look next week. I just want to make sure they don't do a bodge repair. What should i be expec ting them to do? I understand that block paving always dips slightly but this seems like a bit too much so early on. It seemed like they did everything right originally but i'm no expert. What should I expect there to be under there in terms of a base? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
