"That all depends on your day to day habits .
It is always cheaper to run in off peak times however if you wake up at 6 am like me and then leave for work and then my wife and kids leave at 8 for school we would always do 5.45 until 7.30 and back on at 3pm until the demand is no longer required 9pm"

"If your on economy 7 . Anytime on hot water after midnight and hot water off before 7am.

Ideally on 3am off 4am

This would be in the desired tariff"

"The best times is 5 am to 9 am and 5pm to 9pm. These are standard times of switching on water heating, which does not mean that they cannot be corrected"

"The best time to use your hot water heater with a Utilita system can depend on your tariff and whether you're on an Economy 7 or similar tariff with different rates for different times of the day. Utilita offers various tariffs, some of which might have off-peak or cheaper rates during specific periods.

If you're on a tariff that offers cheaper rates during off-peak hours (typically at night), it's beneficial to use your hot water heater during these off-peak periods. This often falls during the late evening or early morning hours.

Utilizing hot water during these off-peak hours can potentially save you money as the rates might be lower compared to peak daytime hours. However, the specific off-peak hours can vary based on your tariff and location, so it's best to check your Utilita tariff details or contact their customer support for accurate information regarding the off-peak hours applicable to your plan.

Additionally, some water heaters have timers or settings that allow you to program them to heat water during specific times. Utilizing these features in conjunction with off-peak hours can further optimize your energy usage and potentially save on costs by heating water when electricity rates are lower."
