What is benchmark?

Can you tell me a bit more about benchmark, what is it and how could I avail of it? Thanks!

"The benchmark certificate is a crucial part of any gas appliance installation a should be filled out by your installing gas safe registered engineer it is part of the commissioning of the appliance without it the appliance is deemed as not commissioned and not safe to use. Also, you will have no warranty on your appliance."

"Benchmark is always with the boiler installation instructions booklet. The benchmark is at the back which has to be completed by your installer and signed. Each time your boiler is serviced it must be signed"

"Commission a new boiler installation. For example. Gas rate it, check fLue ratio, check the flow and return temperature and hot water flow rate..etc. all this need to be written down on the benchmark. For the history of the boiler"

"It is a record of the boiler when installed by the gas safe engineer to the boiler company with your details and the engineer details.
This is used for warranty purposes too. You have a service book that comes with the paperwork of the boiler as well.
