What aerial do I need?

Question

I have 1 SMART tv, 1 Freeview and 2 old ones using firesticks. I have lounge TV aerial socket -(aerial is in loft - very old)  but reception is poor. TVs upstairs use plug ins.  I don't have any TV packages. 
Can someone tell me what I need.  Very interested if there are pensioner discounts.  thank you

May just need your aerial realigning pr replacing. I would also advise for all the rooms you are trying to use I would use a masthead amplifier.

Replacing your od aerial with something like Labgear Tri-Boom should help

You could install a new high gain digital aerial or put a booster on the aerial or put a new aerial Rigg out side

It is completely dependent on the area you live in whether an aerial in the loft will work or not. Older aerials in the London area can't pick up all the digital TV channels and the aerial should be updated regardless of its location.

So dependant on what you want to watch i.e the Freeview channels then the smart TV...and both firesticks can operate without the need for any aerial at all I've not bothered with one for many years now tbh but those that do then as mentioned depending on what the pics like you can usually check the signal strength on the screen when turning the normal channels over 1 2 3 4 5 etc and see what it tells you...if it's an awful kinda screeching type noise and freezing blocky picture then likely a better aerial but in all honesty other than the Freeview TV with no firestick I'd likely buy another firestick for that one and just use the Freeview and other TV apps on the sticks and firestick and also the pretty good apps for Free to watch TV channels like pluto TV and things and save the cost of spending on a new aerial
