Under sink plumbing

Replaced u bend under double sink in kitchen, some leaking around joints.

All seals are brand new, all connections are threaded correctly but there’s still slight leakage around the connections, not sure why

"Good morning.
You may need to apply a small amount of ptfe tape on top of the rubber seals to thicken them up abit.
Make sure all your joints are threaded correctly which you have already stated.
Hand tighten all the joints and pinch them up slightly with a pair of grips afterwards.
Hope this helps."

"I guess rubber_rings might be wrongly monted. Check out."

"Hello
Probably just needs the o ring seals checking and that they are in the right place and have not slipped out.
Thanks

"Make sure the rubber washers are all sitting correctly inside the seals. There’s no way any tape or other compound should be needed on brand new fittings"

"You may need to add some ptfe tape around the new seals as sometimes they can come slightly smaller than the original. They should be hand tight and only a little tighten with grips if necessary. Hope this helps"

"Try to open it all and clean them and use pdf tape around each connection and tight them all.……..see what will gaping then……….if still leaking some where, then use silicone around the connection."

"There will either be a slight scratch or dirt in one of the washers, or it’s not sitting correctly. They only rely on the rubber washers to seal the joint because they are made of plastic, you shouldn’t be needed ptfe on a u bed trap.
Try cleaning the joints and retighten."
