"Tried and tested, … full fat coke cola, bicarbonate soda, and vinegar, leave it over night then it’ll release a hell of a lot easier"

"Hi, drain out all the water from the bottom of the pan and then put a big bottle of Kilrock limescale remover into the pan, leave it for a couple of hours then flush, you might need to do it a couple of times depending on how bad the limescale is. Wear gloves and open windows as the chemical isn’t good for your skin. Don’t put anything else in with the Kilrock as that’s dangerous."

"If it's really stuck on the only way to remove it is manually by removing the toilet and attempting to remove manually, good drainage engineers have a variety of tools as an option for scale removal. However, it's not an exact science as if it's really hard it might not be possible to remove also if really hard there's a small chance the toilet might crack as they're only porcelain. Unfortunately replacing the toilet maybe your most cost effective action as none of the routes to cleaning are cheap & may result in your toilet having to be replaced regardless. Installation of a new toilet might not be as expensive as you believe it to be...."

"Remove the water in the u bend with a sponge if you dont have a wet vac and apply a high concentration limescale remover directly to the limescale. Keep applying layers of remover and it will eventually disolve"

"You may be in a hard water area, and need a lime fighter fitting on your incoming water main down stairs. Mains water pipe!

Or not enough ventilation in the toilet area.
