Removing dents from floorboards

How do I get dents out of wooden floorboards? I think they're made of pine.

"Leave a wet cloth on for 10 mins and then dry it either naturally or if the room is cool use an iron or some portable heater. Repeat process until good as new. I’ve used this method many times and you’ll be amazed what dents can be removed. Doesn’t work well with scratches across the grain but any other dents and scratches will go."
