kitchen materials that are scratch and damage resistant

What is the best material for a kitchen cabinet to choose from when it comes to longevity and its ability to resist scratching and other forms of damage?

"Hi there,

The best two options for your requirements are quartz worktops and porcelain/ceramic worktops.
These are both highly scratch resistant.
Quartz is non-porous, resistant to stains, and takes up to 150C of heat.

Ceramic and porcelain worktops are also highly scratch-resistant (a little bit more brittle than quartz in case of impact on an edge).
These can take between 300-500C of heat, and allow you to place hot items from the pot onto its surfaces.

Hope it helps."

"Most are easily scratched however some are more resistant than others, a form of glass or perspex frontage, or a matt wood embossed wood effect is your best options. You can get mat doors that come with touch up pens and wax sticks to fill the scratches and then the pen brings it to the same colour."

"Some sort of hardwood would be more suitable and last a life time."
