IKEA vs top kitchen brands

How good are IKEA flat pack products when comparing with the top brands on the market for kitchen facilities/fittings? Is IKEA good value for money overall and in comparison with the competition in your opinion?

"Most kitchen fitters don’t exactly favour IKEA kitchens in the U.K there is quite a reason, but a lot of fitters won’t touch them, and if they do, they will charge more money to fit them. Wickes would be your next best option for DIY kitchens. B&Q is another choice, but they’re of fairly poor quality.

Howdens are good quality, and the aftercare isn’t bad, but their prices seem to be getting out of control recently.

Wren is a bit cheaper, but their aftercare is terrible, and if you have a problem which is quite probable, you will find it hard to resolve it; they told one of my customers recently to get a list of all the missing and damaged items at the end of the fit and then get in touch, not exactly possible when you can’t even do the fit because they’ve sent out smashed up units in the first place, then you’ll get told to go in their app, so their team don’t have to speak to you in person, I would not recommend Wren.

Haven’t much experience with Magnet kitchens, but I haven’t heard that many horror stories either."

"I have fitted and ikea kitchen and there not the greatest.. they don’t give you space for plumbing on back of units and also are very low to floor so no space to run pipe underneath.. also the plumbing for sink is a nightmare that they give you … wren units are the best but on a budget b&q is better"
