How to remove paint from uPVC window frames

Someone has painted over our uPVC window frames at some point and it is starting to peel badly. Is there a safe way to remove it without damaging the plastic underneath?

"Sand the frames with a fine grit paper where the paint lies, it will not damage your frames to the visible eye"

"Lots of diiferent factors to consider here.
Is the UPVC Woodgrain or Textured? This can make it trickier to remove.
I would suggest Soudal Cream Cleaner as an alternative to soap and water or an alcohol based solution. Apply with a toothbrush and gently remove with cloth and sponges.
Do NOT use nail varnish, wire wool, sandpaper or pressure washers.
You will have to weigh up time and effort and expense on cleaner removeals against replacing the frames themselves. Discolouration may be a factor and removing the paint may well lead to an unpleasant finish underneath.
Whatever you decide, good luck!"
