How to fix a tap that won't turn off

It was fine until recently and now it won’t fully stop when I turn it. Can I DIY this or call out someone? Could probably find a few other jobs to bundle at the same time

"Most likely just needs a new washer. If you can isolate the tap and turn off the water it is a straightforward job."

"Hi Julie , if you have a flathead screwdriver or a butter knife handy have a look underneath where the pipework is and there should be a silver valve on each tap feed use the screwdriver to turn the slot in the centre of the valve to horizontal and this should isolate that water until you can get it fixed."

"You need to turn off main stop cock in your property."

"Hi Julie,
To stop the water, look at the pipework directly under the sink. You should see two pipes leading to your tap, and each should be fitted with an isolation valve. These will either have a coloured handle or a silver screw-head slot.
To turn the water off, turn the handle (or use a flat-head screwdriver/butter knife on the slot) so it sits crossways (perpendicular) to the pipe. Once the flow stops, a plumber can then check if you need a new cartridge or a full tap replacement, depending on your model."
