Front door weather stripping

The weather stripping on my home’s front door has worn away. How can I go about adding a new coat of weather stripping? And on that note, would one coat be needed or more? Thanks in advance.

"All the paint must be removed and 1 coat of primer applied and then 2 coats of paint of the desired colour"

"You don’t “add a coat” — you replace the old seal.

Steps:

• Remove worn weather strip
• Clean the groove or surface
• Fit new seal (foam, rubber or brush type depending on door)

You only need one properly fitted seal. Also check:

• Threshold seal
• Letterbox draught excluder

Correct fitting is more important than layering multiple strips."
