dish washer fault

On starting there is a red light with a single flashing light indicating a lack of water supply to my dish-washer. Having checked the water inlet to the filter which is clear, what further cause could give rise to fault.

"Red flashing "check water" light, even with a clear inlet filter, often indicates a failure in the water supply mechanism or sensor. Common causes include a malfunctioning water inlet valve, a kinked supply hose, low water pressure (\(<10\) liters/min), or a tripped float switch inside the machine.
Aqua stop Safety Device: If your inlet hose has a large plastic box where it connects to the tap, this is an Aqua stop valve. It may have tripped due to a leak or failed electronically.
Blocked Drain/Pump: If the machine cannot detect that it is empty, it will not start filling. Check that the drain pump impeller is not jammed with debris."

"Possibly a kink in the hose or many have a mesh filter on the inside (usually where the hose screws onto the machine) could be that that is clogged and reducing the amount of water passing through"

"Might be that water preasure is not strong enough at that one moment, for example you put dishwasher and washing machine on at the same time and someone is also having a shower. Seen it happening more than ones. Usually fault clears after you only use dishwasher and no other water using items."

"Clear and straightforward

It could be a kink in the hose. Many hoses also have a mesh filter on the inside (usually where the hose screws onto the machine), and that can get clogged and reduce the water flow.

More concise

Check for a kink in the hose. There may also be a mesh filter where the hose connects to the machine that could be clogged and restricting water flow.

Slightly more explanatory

It might be a kink in the hose, or the mesh filter inside the hose connection (usually where it screws onto the machine) could be clogged, which would reduce the amount of water passing through."
