"Hi, I have cut hundreds of brocken keys in the past. The machines and the skill of a key cutter 95% of the time should be able to produce a working copy. Failing that take the lock to the keybar for testing , lever/pin change or last resort replacement lock.
Good luck"

"Hi
In general it can be done, however depends on the two pieces of key and condition to be able to get a good copy.

"Yes, you can cut a key which has snapped as long as none of the teeth on the key hasn't broken. A good locksmith can cut as many keys as you like."

"Loksmiths can cut another key from the anapped key, but cannot guarantee the key will work. It probably will.
If the new key plays up in the lock the best thing is to get the lock or cylinder changed."

"If it is a lock that is not difficult to source or replace then I would advise to replace the lock. Usually keys snap when the keys/lock are old and eventually will become faulty anyway."
