Cost to wire ethernet to another room

I want a hardwired ethernet connection in my home office rather than relying on WiFi. The room is on the opposite side of the house from the router. How much would an electrician charge?

"The cost will depend on your preferred cable routing method, whether the cable is installed surface-mounted or concealed within the walls. Prices typically range from £120 to £350, depending on the complexity of the installation and the routing requirements."

"If the house has accessible loft space and both rooms are on the same level, many electricians would quote around £150–£250 for a single Cat6 point. If it’s a two-storey route with difficult access, £300–£400 is more realistic."

"Installing a hardwired ethernet point typically costs £100–£250, depending on cable length, access and whether trunking is required. More complex cable routes through lofts, floors or solid walls may increase the cost. CAT6 cable is usually recommended for future-proofing."
