Hi, just wondering what are some of the most eco-friendly ways of paving a driveway? What steps can be taken to keep the carbon footprint of the project down and to keep it as materially as efficient as possible without meaningfully reducing the quality of the job (if possible)?
My drive is on a slope. How do I keep the gravel in place and not washed down when it rains?
How do I make sure that I don't damage my resin driveway when I'm jet washing it?
What different colours of tarmac are available aside from black?
What types of gravel can I use on a driveway? Or can I use any?
Hello I've just had a new driveway put in my 1930's semi and in areas it slopes towards the house. We went with a reputable company and apart from the slope towards the house in places they've done a really good job. As it's 1930's its suspended timber floors so I don't want water flooding underneath it and giving us damp and root in the house. The gradient isn't massive, but it's enough to mean water runs the wrong way towards the house in places We are where we are, clearly lots of issues above. I guess what I need to know what are my options now to rectify this? Couple of suggestions below: 1. Get the company/someone else to angle grind the drive up and retro fit some drainage channels that take the water away (can this be done? how neat can it be done retrospectively)? 2. Fit some sort of thin tile/sloped tile on top of the edging and seal it all like mad so it creates a runaway channel towards the flower bed on the left of some photos TIA BH
Can driveway installers usually sort out getting a kerb dropped or is that something the homeowner needs to do?
What type of surface can a resin driveway be installed on? Would this depend on other conditions/factors too?
I am looking for a quote to lay a concrete base for a summerhouse size 5.5mX 3.5m. How much would this likely cost and how long to complete?
Do most driveway services offer aftercare and is this generally provided as a special deal?
