Are boiling water taps safe to install if you have young kids?

No special with children can be dangerous give you instant hot water temperature can go too hot to touch the tap.

Hi Adam I’m not a plumber by trade but if it’s boiling water you have to be very careful 
What ever tap you choose you need to look at all the reviews and safety side of the tap

simple answer is yes, i have fitting Quooker taps for a few years and they are very safe.

Not really. Even a mature person may get surprise when their mind is somewhere else,  kids are far more likely to not realise it. If it's necessary to have it I would search to or make 1 with safety cap or trigger so it requires 2 moves to operate  and finally paint it RED.

To be honest adam they are safer than using kettle or saucepan, they require certain movements to make them work which would be fairly difficult for a child to carry out, obviously adult supervision would be required if they were using hope it helps.

The hot water taps are safe because , normally you press the handle twice then rotate to turn the water on. The risk of accidentally press down the handle is extremely small. It's actually safer than a kettle.
