A garden fence of a Brickhill for my garden

Undecided at present weather to install a garden fence to separate my garden from my neighbours or get a brick wall put in as this would seem more stronger and last a a good number of years of course depending on how much it will cost and how much I can afford to pay

"I would go with a fence which is a lot cheaper, so long as it gets fitted correctly and will last for decades 😊"

"Hi there.
A brick wall would be far more expensive than Fencing, but yes it would be strong.
However, for the cost of digging the footings, pouring the footings, building the brick wall etc you would be able to get strong concrete posts, concrete gravel boards and decent closed board panels with installation for a lot less expense.
Concrete posts and gravel boards should give you twenty years and the panels, as long as they are re treated and looked after, should give you eight plus years before need of replacing.
Hope this helps"

"So it depends on the size of the wall as in the height and the length you want the wall to be so the dimensions of the height would be two foot by six inches or 8 inches or 10 inches so without knowing or will seeing the size of your garden truly I couldn't quote you but I do live quite close to you so I could quote you for that"

"Fencing will be more cost efficient, and if strong feather edge panels are used with strong concrete post, the fence will last for many years"

"If the fence is built correctly it will last for years and a fraction of the price of a wall"

"A brick wall will be quite expensive but your right it will be more solid. There a few options using timber that tbh are strong i.e concrete posts and wooden gravel boards on top of each other looks nice and stands up to the weather. A good fencer will advise you and should run you through a few options"

"Hi Colin,

It's really down to you how much you want to spend.
I would say brick wall are great but that's going to cost alot as bricks are very expensive. Meanwhile, wooden fences are also good but depends who installed them. We can do this for you but we would require measurements (length/width) of your garden to give an accurate quote and recommend what's best for you accordingly."

"If you were to buy a fence it would be a lot cheaper and you can get a ten year guarantee if you buy your wood treated"
