Installation Method Using Clamp or Channel System

The assembly of a glass panel, or a series of glass panels inside a staircase, follows a systematic process. The first step is to ensure that your handrail and base rail is properly measured. Next, the base rail is installed but the handrail is not yet sealed, as it will be required to hold the glass in place.

The glass panels are positioned with rubber gaskets securely fastened at the bottom, ensuring the hole in the gasket lines up with the one at the bottom of the glass. Brackets are secured on both sides of the glass panel with the appropriate fixings, allowing for adjustments later in the process.

The first glass panel must be vertically positioned, no more than 99mm from the smallest point of the newel post turning. This will be the height of the handrail and should be marked on the newel posts. The handrail to newel post fixing kit is fitted with this mark.

Once the handrail has been measured, the top and bottom glass panels must be secured no more than 99mm away from the newel posts. The handrail is then secured to the glass panels and the glass to the handrail.
