The cost of a tiler can depend on a few things, but on average, you can expect to pay between £150 to £220 per day or £25 to £45 per hour.
You will need to take into consideration your location. For example, you’ll pay around £170 daily for a tiler near Glasgow. However, a tiler near London will cost more like £250. The northern part of the country tends to be cheaper than the south.
The job size will also affect the overall cost. If you’re tiling an entire bathroom, it’ll cost more than tiling a splashback.

When choosing a tiler, look out for any qualifications they have. This could be a Level 1 or Level 2 wall and floor tiling diploma or a tiling NVQ. You don’t need qualifications to become a trusted tiler; there are other routes, such as completing a tiling apprenticeship.
To ensure a tiler is professional, you can ask them specific questions about their experience, qualifications and previous work. A competent tiler will be OK answering any questions you have.
You can enquire whether they’re part of a tiler accreditation, such as The Tile Association. This means they have to adhere to standards within the industry.
