Depending on where you are in the country, the average daily rate for a plasterer is between £110 and £360. The average cost for an hour is between £15 to £30 for a plasterer. If you live in the south of the country, the costs will be more expensive than in the north.

What Happens if You Don't PVA Before Plastering?
If you don’t apply PVA when plastering, the plaster might dry too quickly or not stick properly. This can cause cracks or even areas of the plaster to fall off.

Plastering sand has a fine texture that’s been cleaned away from salt, clay and silt. This means it reduces salt stains, has a smoother finish and is less absorbent to moisture.

Venetian plaster is made from marble dust and lime putty, which creates a glossy, polished finish.
What is Skimming in Plastering?
Skimming is a plastering method used with existing plaster. It’s a thin layer of plaster used to smooth the surface and eliminate any minor cracks and divots.
What is a Plasterer?
A plasterer is a tradesperson who works in the construction industry and protects walls and ceilings from decay by applying plaster. They can also repair existing plaster that contains minor cracks, water damage, or divots.
How Long Does Plastering Take?
To finish plastering an average-sized wall or ceiling, it will take about 4 hours to complete.
What is the Ideal Temperature for Plastering a Large Wall?
Depending on the type of plaster, the minimum working temperature should be between 2⁰C -5⁰C.
How Long After Plastering Can I Paint?
You must wait until the plaster is completely dry, which can take up to six weeks. You can help with drying by putting on the heating and opening windows, but you must ensure the plaster is 100% dry before painting.
