Open Plan Kitchen Steelwork Installation
Derek and his team were professional and knowledgeable from the outset. They were also very understanding of the fact that we intended to carry out some of the work ourselves, and were more than willing to accommodate this—something I know can be a sticking point for some tradespeople, but never was with Derek. They were contracted to open up the entire living space of our bungalow, remove all internal walls, construct pad foundations for a bespoke steel frame to support the roof, and then template, supply, and install the frame, along with a large gable-end window. Throughout the project, Derek not only respected our involvement but also offered practical, experience-based advice, including helpful guidance on sourcing materials cost-effectively. On a personal level, Derek and his team were a pleasure to have on site. They built a genuine rapport with our family—especially our children—which made a big difference during what could otherwise have been a stressful period. They also went above and beyond to keep the space liveable, even creating a tented area within the house so we could remain there as comfortably as possible. Overall, we feel very fortunate to have found Derek and his team. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again and fully intend to have them back for future projects. Thank you again for all your hard work and support!
