Fix Leak on Single Storey Flat Roof
I hired Patrick of Residential Roofing to repair my roof on the 15TH of January 2026 as it was leaking. He repaired the roof and it stopped leaking, but he didn't finish the repairs to the guttering as agreed in the quote and as of the 9TH of February he hasn't returned to complete the job like he said he would, and that particular piece of guttering is in urgent need of repair, and the worst thing is that the rubbish is still sitting on my drive way and his tools, equipment and some materials remain on my property to this day. This is now into its fourth week with no sign of it being resolved and furthermore no sign of Patrick. So far, I have paid Patrick £1200. I now have the added cost and stress of getting the rubbish removed and the guttering he was supposed to fix, repaired. My experience with Patrick is that he is unreliable, dishonest and has little regard for health and safety. Plus, Patrick claimed to be a “good worker”, yet he ran out of underlay and I’m not sure if the whole of my roof has underlay and I found him quite rude and aggressive at times. He also accused me of not paying him the first installment of £500, which was quite upsetting. I cannot recommend Patrick, but should you decide to hire him, I suggest you don't pay him a penny until the job is done and you are satisfied. Lastly, he didn’t even have a ladder, he had to use mine and for a roofer not to have a ladder I find that most odd. Monday 9TH February 2026.
Small Roof Leak Patching
I paid 50% deposit but Patrick does not want to finish the work. The scaffolding was set up around my house weeks ago but Patrick is nowhere to be seen. I called multiple times to politely ask him to complete the job but there is an excuse every time. I was extremely offended this morning when he was being verbally abusive to me over the phone. He was yelling and threatening me telling mt to "shut up". This behavior is unacceptable. This person is unreliable and rude. No one has the right to yell at me for rightfully asking him to complete the job. Abusive, and offensive behavior is unacceptable!
