Poor quality work, damage to our property and very unreliable. So David started off like quite a good quote. Answered his kessages quickly, came around to see the job and quoted quite a reasonable price for tiling a small attic conversion bathroom and replacing taps/vanity unit in our downstairs bathroom. The first day was quite good, he came on time and worked for the whole day. Unfortunately, after that problems began. He kept cancelling his second day of work hut did eventually come a few days later. He came at 3pm and worked till 9pm but didn't finish the work and said hed come back again to finish the job. Unfortunately this is where things turned bad. It turns out he broke one of the pipes under the bathroom tap and didnt tell us when he left by morning the leak had spilled into the kitchen. He then did not come back to repair the broken pipe or finish the tiling despite promising for numerous days and eventually just stopped answering our calls. We manage to stop the lak by closing the main hot water valve to the upstairs tap. We finally got someone else to replace the tiling which was done well. A week after damaging the pipe,. David finally sent around a friend of his to repair the leak and finish replacing the sink unit in our main bathroom (part of the inital job). Far from replacing the new unit, he broke it, broke the wall tiles behind it, some floor tiles and then ran off without telling anyone! In total I only paid David £500 out of the agreed £700, but I have now had to pay extra for: 1) finishing off the tiling, 2) someone to pay for plastering in my kitchen ceiling, 3) buy a new vanity unit for my bathroom and pay for installation, and 4) retile the broken tiles in my bathroom. Overall a really unpleasant experience. David seemed like a bice enough guy, and whilst he didnt take that much money from me, the messing around and damage to my property has ultimately been quite costly. I would not recommend him to anyone. I can't help but question the other reviews on this website in retro-spect. They're all from June/July, and nothing since.
