Shed Roof Leak Repair and Refelting
David was unreliable and never showed up when he arranged. There is still work outstanding and no warranty for the work that was undertaken. He no longer responds to calls or texts even though he was paid for the full job. I do not recommend him. Proceed with caution
Remove TV aerial and fix gutter leak
Fixed up some issues I was having and did the job well thank you David and team.
Remove Screwed Glued Stud Planks
The original job involved taking up the existing floorboards, which was explained before the work started. David initially said he would be able to replace and refit them. After the floorboards were removed, he advised that the original boards could not be sourced and that the whole floor would therefore need to be replaced. He said this could be completed on the Saturday, which was acceptable to us. Unfortunately, the job was then repeatedly delayed. David gave us a number of expected dates, often with messages saying the job would be done "tomorrow", but these dates repeatedly changed due to difficulties arranging labour, particularly evenings and weekends. We were very patient and accommodating throughout, but eventually had to start getting quotes from other contractors and set a clear deadline for the work to be completed. David subsequently attended with another joiner and the new floorboards were fitted. The quality and speed of the actual flooring work when they were on site was good, and the old floorboards were also removed from the property. However, the original job also included refitting the skirting boards. This remains outstanding despite further arrangements being made for the joiner to return, and we have continued to have difficulty getting a firm date and time for this to be completed. Overall, I have no significant complaint about the quality of the flooring work itself. My main concerns are the repeated delays, reliability and communication throughout the job. The experience has ultimately left a very bitter taste, despite the actual work carried out on site being of a good standard.
