Fix leaking built-in toilet
I had a leaking Vitra push button toilet and clearly said in the posting that I wanted someone who has experience with them and knows what they are doing. The reason is that I have had the same problem in the past, it is not an easy job. You get a lot of plumbers who turn up, decide they don't fancy it or can't do the job and rather than being honest, just proceed to muck you about, avoid you and make excuses for weeks on end until you get fed up of them. SmartFix arranged to come and have a look on Saturday. The guy turned up an hour and a half late. Said he'd need to get a part and arranged to come back Wednesday. I arranged to work for home for the day for that reason. He didn't turn up at all, when I rang then messaged to ask where he was, he said his job had overrun and he would ring me that evening... nothing. Messaged him Thursday - no response. Tried to ring him Friday and he didn't answer but messaged me back and said he'd been ill (that old chestnut) and will come the next week. Didn't hear a word from him. Eventually rang him again the next Monday, he didn't answer. Text him to ask is he going to come and say I would have to get someone else if not, he did not even bother to reply. I specifically said on the posting that I wanted someone who knew what they were doing with these toilets and wasn't just going to decide they didn't fancy it and mess me around and they assured me that they did. Don't say you have the skills to do a job if you don't and if you don't fancy the job or can't do it then at least be honest instead of mucking people around for weeks on end!
