Steve was 100% reliable, and did everything he said he would. He and his colleague worked hard, and the end result was very good. I would recommend SJ&E and will have Steve back next time I need a painting job.

Internal Painting & Decorating
We hired Steve to repaint our ceilings and the kitchen's walls. He called my wife as soon as he found the job on myjobquote. He came over to give us a price for the job and was speaking of himself higly and mentioned to us that he is not only a painter, he is a painter DECORATOR, so he is going to make a good job. He came to paint our ceilings on 26th of Jan 2020. We left him alone to get on with the job. However, once we came back my wife straight away noticed that the kichen had some uncovered patches on the walls. Steve told us that it looks like this because the paint is wet but my wife insisted it to be covered. The following day we noticed even more flaws. We found white paintndrops on our furniture, carpets, floor. We also noticed that the job around the windows was uneven so we texted him back. He replied :'The reason why I had to paint so tightly to the window was due to having to cover previous paint that had gone onto the mastic. I apologise for the coverage not being a full as it would have if I had applied another coat however I would not of been able to do that in the same day and it would have cost you more money.' he also offered to come over to fix it but due to his family sircumstances which we appreciate he had to cancel it. However, he did not offer us any other date. It has been almost a week since the job was done and we started noticing that the ceiling were not even properly repainted just touched up and it is visable in a natural daylight. The job around the corners of the walls is also not great, there are no straight lines and it looks like we have done it ourselves, looks rushed... Overall we do regret our decision to hire him.

Steve was fantastic. We had just brought the house and wanted to move in ASAP. I saw about 3 people to get quotes but Steve was the only one who had the most knowledge and suggestions. I had a big job. I needed my whole house painted, all the walls were a mess/uneven/holes, window frames needed to be filled, doors had dents and stickers had ruined the doors' paint work. He was quick and effective. The job was done so beautifully and all within our budget. The doors look brand new; the whole house looks new. He did the job in a week. Our house is now a home. Steve very professional throughout and very knowledgeable- if you have job and are unsure you would be able to help you with many tips and suggestions. I would highly recommend him to all my friends and family. Thank you again Steve. We would love to work with him again in the future.
