Underpinning / Foundation
Original quote was £29500. In total job has cost over £60,000 and workmanship is very poor. I accept there were some additional costs that were hard to factor in such as removal of soil and some extra small work but anything extra that could be charged was charged. Scott should have sub-contracted a brick layer to do all brick laying. Brick laying is very poor and I have had to employ a brick layer who is taking brick leaf down as joints are wrong and even some specials around bay window back to front. Scott and his team use my cement mixer which was only 6 weeks old but is battered and dented - it works but no care for other peoples stuff, punctured tyre on my new wheel barrow and also dented, damaged my new Hyundia petrol lawn mower by dumping on top of other stuff to make room in garage for his stuff - blade has been bent slightly so when it starts it stops almost immediately. Drainage was not completed - small open hole not bricked up and cemented in. Scott agreed I hold £1000 back to sort stuff out and really didn't have any more energy to deal with him and was glad for him to leave but in all honesty it's at least £6000 to redo all brickwork, connection around sewer drain and replace broken items. No care for other peoples property and me having to make trip after trip to builders merchant buying more and more stuff because he hasn't counted what is required. Have large number of building materials I've paid for not required but builders merchant have agreed to take back. No receipts or invoices for any extra payments I made. Just a very very bad experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone else. Now obviously I may receive some threats from this chap but I don't care as I'm telling the truth and don't give a f*** anymore.
Load bearing wall removal
Came out to the house to give us a quote. Said we'd receive a quote later that day. Never heard from them again.
Rainwater leak above bay window
They arrived and did the work as discussed in the quote. Happy with the work so far but it has yet to rain but confident the issue has been resolved
Guttering Repair
Quick response and supplied a reasonable quote, completed the job in a good timeframe over the Xmas period, will use this company again.

Garage Conversion
We were really pleased with the work that Scott and his team completed for us. They made quick progress and finished ahead of schedule. Scott’s communication was excellent throughout and he delivered everything we discussed at the start of the project. Would be happy to use Preston’s again.
