The job was completed well in the end! By his own admission, Pete rushed the job initially and there were a couple of errors that I had to ask him to rectify. However, Pete did not quibble and he put in the time required to put things right. I'm pleased with the end result (boxing-in a boiler). He's a nice guy and he knows his stuff.
