I posted a job for a Chimney Cowl to be fitted as I was getting the chimney sweep done on 3/11/25. "Kartel" stated they did Chimney Sweeps and could do the job. I agreed to meet at my home and he'd do a video so I could see it 1st. They went to my home and did the job BEFORE I even got home to confirm the go ahead. They did put a Cowl on the chimney BUT never went in my house to do the chimney sweep. I asked how he did the chimney sweep without going in the house & he stated he used the sticks and pushed them DOWN the chimney breast to 'clean it'?. It was NOT done properly nor professionally & when I went in my house expecting soot everywhere there was no evidence of anything showing it had been done. In fact it was a "Breach of contract under the Consumer Rights Act 2015"; He's done an unqualified, improper chimney sweep & charged me. I've tried to resolve this amicably, but faced insulting comments & false accusations in return to no resolve & he REFUSES to provide a chimney sweep certificate (per usual whenever a sweep is done & which I did specifically request for safety & insurance purposes) & not just an invoice which doesn't suffice. He was very difficult to help resolve this & I've had no choice but to make a formal complaint which I told him but he wasn't bothered! Be very cautious with this individual/Company. I am currently in the process of a formal complaints procedures & not just with my job quote! This is a fire safety risk in addition to any other possible damage done to my property (especially whilst he conveniently & simultaneously got in an extra job capping the neighbours unused chimney!). Certainly not happy or satisfied with an inadequate job that wasn't completed and has ended up a lot more expensive due to having to now get a safety check.

Robert did a great job repairing my chimney. Very quick, professional and efficient. Not overpriced and kept within my budget. I’d definitely have him back for more work. Great lad aswel.

Good communication came and did the job, but sad to say when knocking the chimney breast out, the wall went through in the living room, and in another bedroom, so we was left with 2 holes in other rooms, an the membrain missing off the roof, my kitchen floor Lino was full of holes an the plastic board around my back patio door all scratched.. rubbish left outside my house an even the full chimney pipe just down side my garden.. even used the next door neighbours skip to put some bits in, when asked to come sort the issue he did apologise an say yes I will come an sort it but keep getting nonsense after nonsense with excuses of why he can’t get to me to sort it an keeps giving me false promises that he’s going to come back but not actually coming back, waiting in a full day for him to come as he told me he was coming that day but no sign of him, even asked for a partial refund to pay someone else to finish the job but didn’t get much of an answer…at the end of the day we paid exactly what he asked for an the job was done very poor I am devastated to even put a bad review as a business person myself it’s not easy industry out there but when I have given chance after chance to come back an sort the work sadly have no other choice

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish! The team was professional, efficient, and incredibly tidy. They removed our chimney breast with minimal disruption, and the quality of their work is outstanding. The area was left clean and ready for the next stage of our renovation. Highly recommend for anyone needing any work done!

What a lovely gentleman and great person , honest and hard worker. Came to look around the job as I needed to remove my chimneys from house. He had a proper insight of the job and idea what he is doing and explained his plans, also given advise and the options to save money and remains in budget. I definitely look for him once needed further work around the house
