Internal Painting & Decorating
The journey was started in a very good positive way. He is a very nice chatty person for a general talks. He gave good ideas and recommended the paint color to choose. Also in the quote it was mentioned everything positive like all works will be done in a "good quality", "rest will be assured" once the quote is accepted. We have given a promise to finish the work in very quick time even though it was a holiday season during Christmas. We have committed to these based on these positives compared to other quotes. Once the work has started, we have noticed that he work differently than what he says initially, which was proven all the days he worked in our house. The work has been delayed by three days in total which affected our plans massively and he didn't even bother about that. He tells one thing does completely different stuffs in our case. On the last day we waited for him for 3 hours from the morning and he showed up by 12.30 for a 9AM start. Very very poor time keeping, he works hardly 3 or 4 hours per day in his own time. After he said he has done his work at the last day, we had to keep him for 2 extra hours for touch up works in almost every room where as we are expecting he ensures as per what has been mentioned in the quote. Since he was trying to rush out we missed quite a few places as the paint was not dried enough to show up the quality of the finish. When we identify unfinished gaps, his excuse was that was not covered in the quote, whereas the quote says full house all walls. He didn't paint the en suite bathroom in the house. When he said that he didn't look at that during the quote. We had to agree because we wanted to finish the remaining work and that room was left not painted. The most unacceptable thing was we paid for paint and the work for the main bathroom and that was untouched. When we asked, he said he painted that room very adamantly but even a child can tell those walls doesn't have a new paint and more over cobwebs in the corner of the walls everywhere (after he claimed that was painted!!!). We have not negotiated the price from the quote and even after all these we have paid fully with a regret. We are sure, he knows what he have done to us. Adding our experience here for other people who hire this trade / person in future can ensure they can agree clearly what the work will be covered in detail not in one line in the quote. And please be ready to ensure the work has been "supervised & quality checked" which is an expensive lessons for us after handing over the house for painting. After all the paint dried up, we can see many walls are not having enough paint for the house that we need to move in soon :(

Jp decorAnother customer wanting free works. All works was done as stated on the quote it’s only for 2 coats so told you it won’t cover. Also yes some days was worked 5 hours but this was over Xmas holidays as I told you. Everything on the quote was done you just wanted free painting and it doesn’t work like that I’m afraid. Yes you waited a few hours for me in the morning but I told you I was to finish at 4pm you deceived to turn up at 9am that’s your choice.
