Chimney Building / Repair
Very bad workmanship. Left an unacceptable mess for me to clear up. The work that should have been done wasn't done to a good standard-they should have taken my chimney stack down by half-there is still a slight bow in the top of the chimney, and not even a quarter of it has been removed.. No repointing of the chimney has been done. Mortar and mess left all over my roof, kitchen extension, mortar splashed on upstairs windows/skylights. I was charged quite a lot extra on the day for replacing ridge tiles that I don't think have been replaced-just mortar put across the front edge of the tiles-still moss growing in the existing mortar between the ridge tiles. They had finished in under 4 hours. I have had no receipt/bill/invoice/guarantee from them. They put mortar that they didn't use straight into my dustbin, making it more or less impossible to move, and I didn't discover this until a few days later, so it has set solid in the bin. I have sent an email outlining my grievances, and s message telling him I'd sent an email to their website, and asked for some paperwork from them, as I have had nothing, but I've had no response They have had a lot of money off me, for a very unprofessional, substandard job. I should not have paid him until I'd had a good look at the work done, but I was at work and only went home for 3/4 hour at lunchtime, when he asked for his money, which I paid., unfortunately. My advice is DO NOT use this company Julie
