Replace Old Gas Combi Boiler
I was abroad when my boiler started leaking. ⁰I had poor Internet but managed to get my job quote, Luke rang and I explained the job, he said he could do it and gave me his best price which I had no way of comparing, so I agreed and he said he could do it next day. I asked him what the warranty was, he said it was 10 years as he was a worcester bosch accredited plummer. He done the job and also supplied and fitted two radiators. The whole job took five hours, to change boiler and replace rads. The warranty came three days later and it is for eight years not ten. Luke said he would sort it, three weeks later I'm still waiting. I got suspicious and got on line to check prices. Prices there were £500 cheaper than Lukes,I asked him what the labour cost was for changing the rads, and was told that the standard charge was £150, as the system was already drained and it was part of the same job it should be cheaper, no that's the price I was told. When I asked him to email me an invoice he said he hasn't me v a t on labour so he couldn't give me one. He charged me £1200 excluding v a t for five hours work and I'm still waiting for the ten year warranty. Now that's what I call been ripped off. Thanks again Luke. Not recommended.

Firstly, as you have confirmed yourself, you were abroad when your boiler started having issues. Despite the difficulties with communication, Luke made the effort to contact you, discuss your requirements and provide a quotation, which you willingly accepted. We then arranged for your new boiler to be installed the very next day, along with two replacement radiators. We pride ourselves on offering a prompt, efficient service, particularly when customers are experiencing problems with their heating or hot water. Most customers are extremely appreciative of such a quick turnaround. Regarding your reference to Luke being a “Worcester Bosch accredited plumber”, Luke is a Gas Safe qualified Heating Engineer. The term you are referring to is a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer, rather than an “accredited plumber”. With regard to your warranty, as previously explained, our office experienced technical difficulties when attempting to upgrade your warranty from eight to ten years. This matter was escalated to Worcester Bosch’s technical support team and was therefore outside our immediate control. We appreciate your patience while this is being resolved, although unfortunately, threats of leaving a negative review do not enable us to speed up Worcester Bosch’s technical processes. Turning to your comments regarding price, £1,200 for the installation of a new boiler is a very reasonable charge, particularly when considering the short notice, next-day availability and efficient completion of the work. The fact that our experienced engineer completed the installation within five hours should be viewed as a reflection of his experience and efficiency, rather than a reason to question the cost. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, you were provided with a quotation before any work commenced. You accepted that quotation, authorised us to proceed and subsequently paid the agreed amount. Unfortunately, as with most professional services, agreeing to a price and then discovering a cheaper alternative online several weeks after the work has been completed does not retrospectively make the original quotation unreasonable. Nor does it entitle a customer to renegotiate an agreed price after the service has been delivered. We are confident that we provided a prompt, professional and competitively priced service, and it is disappointing that this has resulted in such a negative review. We stand by the quality of our workmanship, our pricing and the professional service provided. While we fully respect every customer’s right to leave feedback, we believe it is important that reviews present a fair and balanced account of the service received. It is disappointing that our efforts to accommodate your circumstances and deliver a next-day installation have been overshadowed by dissatisfaction with a price you had already agreed to.

Highly recommend Luke!I couldn’t be happier with the service. Luke replaced my entire old heating system—installing a new combi boiler, copper pipes, and all new radiators. He also removed my old water tanks.He was always on time, finished exactly when promised, and his price beat all the competition. Excellent work!
