Darren and Wendy did a full rewire for my 3 bedroom 18th century cottage and outdoor shed. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and they made the whole process seamless. They did a full walkthrough before providing a quote and explained everything from my electrical installation condition report. They provided regular updates when ordering stock and were able to answer all of my questions about different colours and styles of sockets and switches. The installation week was booked in advance, and they didn't stop until the job was done, staying late into the evenings to make sure everything was completed to a high standard. The small details were appreciated: they re-plastered my walls in the areas where they'd fitted sockets and switches, took pride in arranging my consumer unit and cables in a neat and intuitive way, and left the whole house spotless when they'd finished. I'd recommend them for any property, but especially for older houses where construction is not typical and needs someone to think of creative solutions. I'll be asking them back for further outdoor electrical work in the future.

Darren and his assistant Wendy surveyed the job that wanted doing. The alarm system that we had was antiquated to say the least and had been damaged during a garage conversion. After telling my wife and I the options, we decided on an 'Ajax' wireless alarm system which we can check that our house is safe wherever we are. With the options of a panic alarm fob and almost instantaneous messages if anything untoward was happening, we thought this was ideal for our needs. They decommissioned the old system and everything was tidied before they left. Thank you both for your great service. P.S. Don't forget the wedding cake!

We posted the job late on Sunday evening, and Darren got in touch first thing Monday morning, offering a free quote and inviting us to call when ready. I rang him that afternoon to discuss the work needed and where we wanted the sockets installed. Impressively, Darren arrived within the hour to go over everything in person. He clearly explained what the job would involve and made it clear there was no pressure to decide immediately—just to let him know either way. After a quick discussion once Darren left, we agreed the quote was very fair and messaged him to confirm we’d like to go ahead. Darren surprised us by offering to return straight away! We’d already stepped out by then, but he was also available Wednesday morning, which we opted for. Darren arrived as planned and did a fantastic job. He was very considerate of the fact that we were both working from home, making sure his work didn’t disrupt our day. He gave us a range of socket options, explained how and where they could be installed, and asked for our input throughout to make sure everything was just right. We’d 100% recommend Darren and will definitely be using him again for any future work.
