This was an extortionate price for this small job, they charged me over £35 for a part which was a Thermocouple, this sells for £6.69 at Screwfix and can be had from Victoria Plumbing for £4.31, then there is the Super Universal type at £8.39 this comes with more parts and fits nearly all makes of boiler. Under normal circumstances this should be a 30min job but I was charged for 2hrs labour, the reason for this was they had used the cheapest universal fitting kit that is not a good fit for my boiler and added a further 40mins to the job, for the sake of spending less than £2 to get the better fitting kit, this cost me an extra £90 plus vat on labour charges, the overall price for this job was £251, this is criminal in my opinion.
