We had a very negative experience with this tradesperson. We agreed the contract with them under the pretence that they were FENSA certified and that the work would be completed in a 5-day period. Firstly, the builders were a week late to begin, as the order for our door and window had been put in too late by the builder. They commenced work on the second week; however, they completed only 2 of the 5 required days. In the 2 days they worked, they made the opening of our patio door half a metre too large, requiring remedial work; they cracked the glass of a window they were to deliver and ran out of materials to finish the job. They also did not deliver on providing skips as promised and paid for in the quote. The builders told us they would be back the next week, but we heard nothing from them for the next 14 days. After vigorous chasing, we were told they did not get in touch as they had not received the replacement glass for the window they cracked so they could not proceed; however, the window supplier confirmed to us via a phone call that the glass had been picked up in the same week they were working on our property. The builders told us at this time they had been going through personal circumstances; however, they chose to lie to us instead of disclosing this, refusing communication and work for 2 weeks. They also disclosed to us at this point that they were on holiday in Thailand, so not in a state to continue the work. Furthermore, it has come to light that they have lied about having FENSA certification before commencing work. This has left us in a situation where we now have to assess the quality of the installed doors ourselves with a FENSA-certified contractor, which may cost more than of £1000. The current circumstance is that the builder promised a return to work on the 28th of September, 6 weeks behind schedule; however, that day has passed and despite requests for contact, the builder has again refused to communicate with us or continue the outstanding work. We have paid over 80% of the quote, retaining £1000 for our independent FENSA certification. We are now in dispute to refund half of what we paid, as what we received does not reflect the quality of work we agreed on and as we now need this money to complete the outstanding work, including fixing the contractor's mistakes. This situation has been emotionally taxing for us and has delayed other planned work with a plasterer, plumber and electrician. It has caused sleepless nights and has affected our finances and the cost of the project substantially. We would not recommend commencing any work with this contractor.

I contacted them for a quote and was genuinely impressed with how honest and professional they were. The quote was very competitive and they took the time to explain everything clearly without any pressure. After visiting the job, they actually recommended that I don't go ahead with the work because it would have been a waste of money and wouldn't have given me any real benefit. That level of honesty is rare these days and showed they genuinely care about their customers rather than just making a sale. If you're looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, and willing to give honest advice instead of trying to sell you unnecessary work, I would highly recommend them.

Able to complete work needed day before scheduled day which was great. They were both professional and friendly. The standard of work is excellent. Everything was explained over again when needed. Will definitely recommend.
