Adam fixed my wardrobe doors that were getting stuck. He made it so we shouldn't have anymore problems with them. He was very kind and quick to help.

LVT Flooring I wanted tiles, but Adam persuaded me about LVT flooring. I was initially very impressed with Adam. He worked hard, completed the LVT flooring in three days, and even offered to lay the downstairs bathroom using leftover tiles. Unfortunately, after he left, I discovered that the job was incomplete, including unfinished areas around the toilet and visible gaps. I contacted Adam about these issues. He did not initially respond, so I called him the following morning. He admitted there were “holes everywhere” and said he would come the next morning to finish the job. He did not arrive as agreed. After repeatedly calling him, he answered and said he would come at 11:30 am. When 11:30 came and went, he was nowhere to be seen. At around 11:40 am, I called him again several times. When he finally answered, he shouted at me aggressively on the phone and said, “I told you I am driving, I will not pick your call when I am driving,” before hanging up on me. However, I was not aware that he was driving! He eventually arrived later that day and fixed some of the issues, but he still did not correct the gaps around my toilet. Adam measured my floors to be 30m square combined. I purchased: Vitre 1.5mm LVT underlay gold 9.6, 3X £37.00, (9.6 m² coverage each) 10x £84, italo white marble LVT. When B&Q in Norwich checked for the stock availability, unfortunately, it was discontinued, the only stock availability was in Great Yarmouth. I was about to place a click and collect but Adam said to but Adam said he would use his trade discount [5%] Also, I noticed the tiles in my downstairs toilet are completely different colours and patterns from the other tiles in my living room. I believed that the tiles that Adam put in the toilet, was not the tiles that I purchased. There is a huge gap behind the toilet that he thought I will not see. Finally, Adam Nichols gave me a quote of £900 for Labour cost. He told me that “the toilet I will do it for free with the leftover tiles.” However, after the job was finished, he said “I told you to pay £900 but it is not £900 it is £930” so, I paid him £930. This has left me feeling sad, angry, disappointed because that was not the agreed price. I have kept all the receipts, emails, text messages and photographs documenting Adam’s work. The extra purchases were made using my credit card without my consent and the unfinished work. I will not recommend Adam Nichols service. While the work started well, however, I was disappointed by the unfinished workmanship, poor communication and the unexpected increase in the agreed labour price. I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and care shown by Adam who installed my integrated fridge-freezer. The installation was completed to a high standard, with thoughtful attention to detail—everything aligned beautifully, and the finish was seamless. He communicated clearly, tidied up meticulously, and made sure I understood how everything worked before leaving. I appreciated his courteous manner and genuine pride in his craft. It’s rare to find someone who combines expertise with such a personable approach. I’d gladly recommend him to others and would welcome his help again in future projects.

Adam is a true professional, he's done a very nice job on our akward little utility room area. He turns up on time, communicates well and tidies up after himself. Would definately use again.

So obliged to Adam Nichols for sorting out my many neglected maintenance issues promptly and affordably.. Although hired initially as a carpenter to fit shelving , Adam to my surprise and delight also installed ventilation with extractor fan in the kitchen. I know this to be a gob for a specialist contractor with building skills but Adam was not fazed! In addition to supplying and fitting shelves, Adam also suppled and fitted three Venetian blinds, sorted a window lock and although not asked to do so, plumbed in a washing machine, replaced several light bulbs and cleared the flat of trash, most of which was not of his making! I look forward to contacting this most kind and capable gentleman in the future and know that whatever the problem, Adam will have a solution!

Adam was very responsive to the initial enquiry and throughout the work. He came down to look at the job, gave me a quote, turned up on time every day to do the work, and got it all completed on time and to a great standard. I will be using him again soon for some other work. Highly recommended
