About
I bring extensive hands-on and academic experience, having designed and built my own house, apartments, and gardens since college 20+ years ago. Previously practised as an architect and taught building-physics-related subjects at various universities in Hong Kong, and owned an interior design and decoration company. After relocating to Cardiff, I retrained as a tree surgeon and domestic energy and retrofit assessor, further broadening my technical and practical expertise. Currently I provide consulting services including design, drawing preparation, building survey, damp survey, energy performance certification, alongside with tree surgery, garden works or handyman tasks. Wilson is fantastic. This is the third time I’ve hired him, and once again he delivered excellent work. Knowing that he is an experienced architect with multiple UK professional licences, including certified tree surgery, gave me full confidence in him. Honestly, I am quite demanding, but he understood my needs, worked efficiently, and gave advice without pressure while respecting my choices. As an architect, he brings more than a typical handyman — focusing on practical, long-term solutions rather than quick fixes. He modified my kitchen extractor hood to vent outside and fixed my shed roof leak, all done with great care. He understood my budget concerns and came up with practical, cost-effective solutions with minimal disruption. In addition, he professionally trimmed my tall trees, transforming an overgrown garden into a bright, tidy space. Outstanding quality of work, and his fees were surprisingly very reasonable. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
