Felling = the safe process of downing individual or multiple trees.
Crown thinning= to remove a set area of smaller branches normally on the outer crown in order to make the tree foliage more even and give an equal density to the tree. this will help to allow more light through and reduce wind resistance.
Crown lifting = removal of lowest branches or preparation for future removal of these branches this will allow more light through to areas near to the tree itself.
Crown reduction = to reduce the height of the tree or the spread of the crown, which can help reduce mechanical stress on the tree or specific branches.
Pollarding = Pollarding is a pruning system in which the upper branches of a tree are removed, promoting a dense head of foliage and branches.
Crown cleaning =This is the removal of dead, dying or diseased wood in the tree's crown -canopy. It also involves attention to snags or re pruning of branch stubs.
