Avoid Chris Ward from TW4 Ltd. And stay away as far as you can. I asked him to do the job last year in September 2023 the solid wood foundations for our conservatory. I am leaving this review just now as I had a loads of other jobs to do with house and had to complete this job myself due to TW4 fraud. Chris Ward sounds like nice family bloke at first you meet him. He will come arround your house discuss the project then gives you quote. Once you accept it he raises invoice and requires full payment for materials. I was concerned at first as this was my first time I was hiring trade person. He even took me and my partner artound his previous customer to show job he apparently did. This got Me being stupid and naive paid him and this when all went wrong. From Sept to End of November 2023 I sow him twice. And spoke mainly to his wife, who gave as many excuses as she could for his lack of appearance (hom being poorly, familly issues, other jobs, even recovery meetings). I gave Chris multiple chances to buy my materials he owed me and complete the job. I gave up in Nov23 when I cancelled the job and requested refund. No refund has been issued and this is year after I am writing this review. Please do not trust like I did.

DO NOT USE TW4, Chris took my deposit and afterwards when I called I only got his answer machine . Text messages and emails were eventually replied to with excuse after excuse and several missed start dates , my advise is STAY clear of TW4 and Chris Ward.

Chris from TW4 Joinery contacted us about the work needed to repair our decking platform. He made an appointment to visit. We were impressed by his knowledge and he appeared to want to do a good job. After comparing his quote with others we decided to go ahead. Chris said that the work would be done in mid July once he had finished his current job. He asked for a deposit to cover materials and we paid over £1100 to cover this. Although Chris was in regular contact up until we paid the deposit the communication stopped immediately afterwards. There was no contact from him before the initial date of 17th July. Further start dates were missed with a varied number of different excuses. I requested a return of my deposit on 22nd August as we did not believe the work would start and we were worried about losing our money. Chris contacted me on 23rd August to assure me that he would start work at 9am on 29th August. This was the 7th start date offered and Chris asked for this to be the last chance. He did not appear at that time and I was contacted by his wife saying he had been delayed but would be along later. He did not appear that day. I spoke to his wife and she could not give any further dates to start work. I sent an e-mail that evening saying that the whole experience was having a negative impact on my health. I provided my bank details and asked for an immediate refund. I was contacted on 1st September to advise that the refund process had started but that it could take up to 19 working days. After much chasing I was sent a credit note on 22nd September and was promised that the money would be transferred within 5 working days. After the 5 days no payment has appeared. Despite assurances that the money will be transferred each day since as of 4th October there is still no refund.

Garden Shed
Christopher has been issued a County Court Judgement and has made full admission of withholding a deposit for undelivered work. TW4 failed to arrive on two occasions and no contact made. Despite many attempts to correspond there has been no refund, not even an attempt at a repayment plan. If these further reviews since March are genuine the mind boggles. DO NOT USE OR FALL FOR THIS.
Flat Pack Furniture Assembly
Chris at TW4 has been excellent throughout the process. Extremely polite and nothing was too much trouble. He was professional and had great communication throughout. He carried the job out with care. Very knowledgeable we would highly recommend and would definitely use again. Top job thank you Chris 😊

Wooden Decking
After a slow start with the poor weather we are very happy with our new trex decking. Chris was very thorough and responsive to our input and requests. We would happily use them again for further work.

Really nice guy and excellent workmanship, very clean and tidy, will definitely use again and will certainly recommend TW4 joinery to all my family and friends.

TW4 Joinery - 5 stars!! Chris came to price up the job and was very honest and gave in-depth descriptions of what would be required. The work was completed to a very high standard and even after-care advice was offered. I would definitely recommend this company and would be more than happy to have future work completed by them. Friendly, honest and hard-working joiners :)

Wooden Doors - Internal
We had 14 internal oak doors fitted. Chris was very helpful and went the extra mile. He has a real pride in his work and I would strongly recommend him. If we have any joinery jobs in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to ask Chris to do the work for us.
