There was delay in the job due to unforeseen circumstances, but not a big issue given the heatwaves. Jim and his men performed the job to a high standard and in an efficient manner despite the heat. Jim was also responsive in communications and kept me informed. I won't hesitate to recommend The Turf Laying Experts for turfing jobs.

All responded quickly but as there is a water ban there isn’t a chance the job can be done!

I would not recommend this company. They laid the turf, but the condition they left my property and the public road in was unacceptable. My back garden was left covered in mud, soil, debris and drink bottles. At the front of the property, two broken wheelbarrows, waste, mud and debris were left on the pavement/road. I also found damage to my patio tiles and flowerbed wall following the work. I raised these issues with the company and gave them the opportunity to respond and resolve them, including paying for professional jet washing/cleaning that I had to arrange because of the mess left behind. I did not receive a response. I have photographs, CCTV footage, vehicle details and records of the communication. I am now reporting the waste left on the public highway to Sutton Council and pursuing the costs of the cleaning and repairs. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to ensure everything is inspected before making final payment and to keep clear written records throughout.

Job was rushed, and the grass is not level - it's all 'up and down'. They missed some edges, and even half grassed over a large ornamental seashell! The workmen insisted I pay up front, as I had an online meeting scheduled later that morning and they said they had 2 other jobs that they had to get to. I asked them to let me know when they'd finished -it was ok to interrupt me even if I was in the meeting. But they left without letting me know. When my daughter saw the grass a couple of days later she said 'you've been conned'. I have been in touch several times by (polite) email. The lady who deals with emails was helpful, and said she would pass it on to her boss when he came back from holidays. I've heard nothing since (after several weeks), despite sending further emails and a WhatsApp message to the boss. I'm not even getting replies to emails any more.

Initial thoughts: the area could have been levelled a bit more evenly, and it would have been better if the weeds were removed fully from the roots. That said, the turf itself looks good so far—I’ll know more once it’s fully established and had its first mow. I’ve been following the advice to water it daily, so fingers crossed it settles in well. Overall, Jimmy works efficiently and gets the job done quickly, so I would recommend him.

The guys worked very hard removing a very tired lawn. A little surprised that the site was not rotovated. Pleased that I requested double the amount of topsoil. The new lawn looks great. The only disappointment was the mess on my drive and patio that will require a massive clean up and jet wash.

The team arrived and got to work straight away. They explained what they would be doing, that day and how to maintain the grass. No mess and a job well done. I will definitely recommend, The Turf Laying Experts.
