Remove Security Grille From Patio Window
Job well done. All as agreed. Thank you.
Refit Yale Bolts On Sash Window
I booked this job to rectify incorrectly fitted sash-window security bolts. Before the appointment I specifically messaged to confirm the £60 price, but this was never clearly confirmed in writing. When he arrived, he explained that properly repositioning the bolts would involve drilling additional holes, which my partner was unsure about. The alternative discussed was to put the original style of bolt back into place, in the same way as the existing bolts on the other windows. Rather than buying a new bolt, we agreed to use an existing spare bolt from another window in the property that was no longer being used. I agreed to this revised work, although at the time I felt some pressure to agree to something because he was already there in my home. The actual work then took around five minutes. He put the spare bolt into the existing hole, but the damaged receiving plate was not replaced or repaired. He also did not bring ladders and I had to provide my own. At that point I asked, “Is that it?”, because I felt I could have done that myself and it was much less work than I had originally expected. I questioned why the full £60 was still being charged and explained that the finished work was not what I had understood the original quote to be for. I said that, had I known that was all that would be done, I could have done it myself. He then told me that I “need to think” before booking somebody for a job. I told him I did not like his attitude and asked him not to speak to me like that. From that point the conversation became heated. When I again explained that the work carried out was not what I had expected for the quoted price, he responded along the lines of, “then you should think in future.” He also referred to the petrol he had used getting there and later said that he and I were “differently wired people”. I found the exchange unnecessarily personal and uncomfortable. I remained calm, but by that point I no longer felt comfortable continuing the disagreement in my home. I was not given an invoice or receipt and made the £60 bank transfer simply to end the situation and have him leave the property. I was disappointed with both the amount charged for the very limited work carried out and the way the disagreement was handled.

Plane Bottom Of Swollen Door
Zygmunt, was extremely responsive and after posting the job on Check a Trade he was in touch with me right away and within an hour he arrived and had completed the task of sanding our front door to ensure that it shut after it had expanded in all the heat and we could not open it. He was friendly professional and we will definitely engage him again for further work. Thank you very much!

Maisonette Painting & Decorating
We completed a major flat renovation in Sutton while living in Australia, which meant a huge amount of trust had to be placed in Zygmunt as we were over 9,000 miles away. The outcome was excellent and significantly increased the value of our property. Zygmunt completed the full project and also provided valuable assistance with selecting and purchasing items such as the kitchen, paints and other materials. The entire renovation was completed in just over 2.5 months. The quality of workmanship was excellent, particularly the tiling, which completely transformed both the bathroom and kitchen. Zygmunt was reliable, kept the site clean and communication throughout the project was excellent. We have also used Zygmunt for work within our business, KiddiStop in Sutton, where he completed carpentry and woodwork tasks for us to a very high standard. I could not recommend him highly enough. His pricing was extremely competitive and he was patient and flexible with staged payments throughout the project.
