Install Internal Chimney Vents
Punctual and reasonable price and discussed some options for the vent covers. Some points were discussed in trade language only, so there was a misunderstanding early on. Due to the trade I thought more dust sheets may have been provided, but not sure what the expectation is on the customer to do this. 2 of the 4 vents are set level to the plaster board, but 2 are set further back. It was explained why, which made sense, but no solution to bring it level with the wall.

Everything was clearly explained to you before,during and after the job and my last correspondence to you was you thanking me for all the work carried out. Forgive me for being perplexed then when you discuss dust sheets when on the day of the job in question, you made me arrive later than I would normally onsite. This was due to you, I quote "being on the school run and give me a chance to move things around.' When I arrived, nothing had been moved so therefore more dust sheets than expected were needed due to no movement of furniture. Better correspondence would have prevented this. As for the vents, the reason 2 were flush and 2 weren't were explained to you that the plaster was of different thickness and the usual way of just screwing into the plaster wall wasn't possible due to the size of the fixings provided and the thickness of the plaster. In other words it would need to be into the brick to prevent it falling off. You were happy with the explanation at the time and even noted ' we aren't bothered about the aesthetics'. Clearly that isn't the case as youve seen fit to mention this in a public review. Im sad to see the end of the job being like this however there is only so much a company can offer if assurances at the time arent met and understanding changes within 24 hours of job completion. The job was completed cleanly and professionally on time. I was particularly impressed by the colour matching to existing mortar, I would have no problem recommending this company to a friend.
