Impressed with Blaine's willingness to travel a fair distance to complete the job of replacing our old, worn-out stop tap! It was an awkward and tough job but we were impressed with his doggedness and resilience to complete the replacement.

I would like to thank Blaine and said I would add a fair review. The shower fitting was fine, not sure if the piping could have come lower (albeit may have been more expensive and not my area of expertise to know if that was a possibility) so it wasn’t so close to the ceiling and shades one of my spotlights above the shower cubicle, it would need taking down for a ceiling re-paint to get the finish decent, I had seen it once it was all bolted in and Blaine explained that’s the best that can be done. The shower works fine from the one time used so far. There was some miscommunication between us that it was the same shower as replacement but it was a different shower that required some tiling. I added the picture of the current shower on here but messaged a pic of the replacement shower and advised I had tiles. I couldn’t get the same tiles but had the other en suite done and sent a pic of that as well, unfortunately my usual plumber was tied up with a time consuming contracting job. The price understandably was changed when Blaine checked it out and said would be fine based on there being the right number of pipes, it was all seen in person from the pics I sent . There was some waiting and delays initially. The final date agreed was missed on Friday, I didn’t hear anything but Blaine promptly sorted Sunday and advised there was an emergency on Friday. The tile didn’t dry very well before the shower was screwed on, I used a rake and bricks to prop it up in place to dry overnight straight with a level on top. The trim around the tile was not diagonally cut as the other trim in the en suite and as other tiles in the house. I said I didn’t like it and would like it removed to be re-done it was straight cut and didn’t meet with a lot of silicone added. Blaine was understanding with that and removed it, I was advised at that point Blaine doesn’t usually do tiling which I said I wasn’t made aware of initially and said I would have had someone else do it. Another person was due to come on behalf of Blaine the following day but he came himself to finish which was much appreciated, the trim was added once dried and Blaine has done his best to get it neat as possible. It’s yet to dry overnight but I’ll see how it finishes. Unfortunately the trim doesn’t sit one side well as it wasn’t equal behind the tile added so it’s not a match all round, my wall is straight however as mentioned to Blaine I appreciate him doing the best he could. I queried about the cost quoted based on the tiling issue and we agreed to disagree on that, Blaine felt it was fair and he should have charged more for the job. Thank you.

sky blue plumbing and property maintainanceWow what a review when a genuine tradesmen advises you the way In with your job need to be done the correct way without bodgin a job just because you as a customer wasn’t happy to do it the correct way because of expense so I was asked by yourself if I would do it the cheaper (BODGED) way because your previous plumber has done it that way ….. me being a idiot agreed yours and his way, the tiles on the shower walls are all over the place none of them are level hence why it should of been prepped ready current shower tiles level then fit the bodge tile to cover the hole where there was no tiles present to get a fixer secure and £200 is more than fair labour and materials to convert the old shower with a totally shower make and model in future I suggest you listen to your tradesmen and have them carry out the works correctly as advised instead of wanting a unrealistic job carried out for as cheap and unrealistic expecting it to look it would when it would of been done the correct unbodgrd more costly way plus it says it’s a like for like shower just upgraded version which is completely different from what had to be done

Intervention from Sky blue plumbing was quick. He explained what needed to be done. Very friendly. Super satisfied. The price was reasonable. Also sorted a leak that was not part of the main job at no extra cost. Excellent service from Sky Blue plumbing. Definitely recommend.
