Remove Moss From Roof Tiles
I find it difficult to appraise sd roofing. The original job I was looking for - the cleaning of moss from my roof - was carried out satisfactorily. My issue was with the quote for a second job on the roof. Simon Doherty the operator pointed out various defects on the roof such as loose ridge tiles. He impressed upon me the need to have these remedied and gave me a quote for that job. He charged me £660 for cleaning my roof and gave me a quote of £1600 for the remedial work. I was not going to get another quote for this work as he was already on site and I honestly thought the work would last a few days as it was so much higher than the expense of the original work. He started cleaning my roof late morning on Wednesday and finished it on Friday morning. On Friday evening he declared that he had finished the second job. I was very surprised. I could not pay him thins I had not expected the job tone finished that quickly. Before I paid him I reflected on the bill and felt that I had been cheated. I had accepted the quote on the understanding that it was big job and when he completed it in less than a day I felt that I had been taken for a fool. After some discussion reduced the bill by £400. I have to live with my gullibility. I would like to pass this experience on to other customers. Do not accept a quote from this firm without having it checked.
S D Roofing and gutteringHi Ben I came by and quoted your job for roof cleaning after purchasing it from my job quote. I quoted £600 you said you was happy to go with my quote as someone else quoted you £950. Once I was on the roof I informed you about the problem with your ridged, I never asked you to do them. I told you to post the job and get some quotes you asked me to quote it when I did you said you was happy to go ahead. I quoted £1600 and the price didn’t change from that meaning you agreed to the total. The price of roof cleaning and the price of re-pointing are 2 completely different things as I charge for each ridge like I explained at the start. If anyone has been robbed of money it’s me as you only wanted to pay £600 for all the work after it was completed, taking in to consideration everyday working there I got there at early morning and finished at 6 in the evening for 4 days. You also told me after knocking the £400 of you said you was very happy with the work so it doesn’t seem to add up why you gave me 3 stars.

Simon contacted us very quickly after placing the job on the portal. We arranged that he would come to view the job that same morning which he did. We agreed on a price and he was able to do it that day. He was polite, professional and carried out the work to a very high standard. The job included cleaning the roof of a one storey building, cleaning the gutters, soffits and fascia’s. We would definitely recommend him.
