Bathroom Floor and Backsplash Tiling
Had a very unfortunate experience. The job was to complete bathroom tiling. The tiles have been left in a very messy state, there was grout all over the floor which I had to clean up, many areas weren’t grouted at all and the areas that have been grouted have holes in them. The trim around the sink tile does not meet and the metal has sunk below the tile over and we now have a bit of metal sticking out. Worst of all, the door does not properly close anymore because where they pulled up the carpet to lay the tiles they never laid it back down. Our hallway carpet has become loose as it is no longer attached to the ground. We are now going to have to go out of pocket to get this fixed as the tiler is ignoring all our calls and emails. Sadly I had a quick look at the work done and it looked ok, the tiler asked me to pay that day so I paid straight away as I had gained a level of trust in him. That trust was misguided and now I’m left wondering if he wanted quick payment because he knew about the issues that I would find on closer inspection. Please take this review as a warning to use someone else.
