Shower Cold Water Supply Repair
Came round £90.00 and said we needed a new filter £150.00. Came round to fix the filter and £90.00 that wasn't tge problem. Phoned him and asked what it is the valve is round the wrong way. Came round today £90.00 and fixed it but asked for another £30.00 as he charges £120.00 and hour and said that wasn't on the job description if you read i said fix the shower i don't know anything about it thats why i went to your website.but never said that in the first place. I Feel like i have been made a fool out of lots of money and left the bathroom in a mess never tidy up after him. Not recommend will not use again. The job
Pat The PlumberHi Helen, I’m sorry you feel unhappy with the experience. On the first visit, I carried out diagnostic work to investigate the fault, which was charged at £90. Based on the symptoms at the time, the issue appeared to be a shower filter/cartridge fault, so I returned to replace this for a further £90. After further testing, it became clear there was also a separate plumbing issue caused by a check valve installed the wrong way around, which was preventing correct water flow. This was a separate fault from the original shower issue and could not have been identified from the original job description alone. I attended a third time to rectify this and charged £120, which is my standard labour rate of £60 per hour. I spent around 3 hours carrying out this repair and only charged for the time worked. Access work was required to reach the pipework properly, which involved cutting the plinth/board. I did offer to clean and tidy everything before leaving, however your son advised this was fine at the time. While carrying out the work, I also noticed and pointed out that there was a cracked soil stack, which I mentioned as it may cause future issues. I always aim to be fair, transparent and helpful with customers, and I’m sorry that despite the time and work carried out, you were left dissatisfied. However, I do feel the time, labour and work carried out were reasonable for the issues found

Had multiple bathroom jobs that I wanted done in one day. Called to discuss the quote and answered all my questions transparently before starting work. He bought the shower for us saving us time and mental energy! Booked the job for 2 days later and completed the job in under 4 hours. Very happy
