Nail Shut Dropping Window
Mike came out on a Sunday afternoon to fix our window at short notice. I thought we would have to nail our window shut because it was broken but Mike managed to fix the lock and our window - what a star! His communication throughout was excellent and he was very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend.

Install Multipoint Lock on Old Door
I had hoped to simply not review Michael. Better just to say nothing I thought, but other customers will need to know. The good stuff - His skills are pretty good. He was proactive in getting a date and arranging to get the job done. He delayed a couple of times but turned up on time on the day he did the job. He was well equipped with appropriate tools. The job involved a 110 year old door and frame, which was not precisely square and needed a bit of tweaking to get it right. He tidied up well and left a good finish to the woodwork of the door and frame. About 2 months after fitting the lock jammed. I gave him a call and he arrived within 30 minutes and unjammed the lock. This was a great response. The not so good stuff- The most important thing he needs to change is his thought processes. It is okay for there to be problems if they are dealt with well. He insisted on using cheaper materials whilst I was happy to pay for premium locks and this may be the cause of our troubles. His trouble shooting skills were not good. When I told him the door was not closing correctly and what he needed to do to fix it, he flatly denied there was any problem and that my suggestion wouldn’t work. He eventually did as I suggested, and the door worked much more smoothly. He openly called my 85 year old neighbour "stupid” as she was trying to be sure how to use the new lock. He was a little frustrated as the job had so far taken 8 hours instead of 4-5. When he came to fix the jammed lock he blamed user error instead of analysing why it might have failed. My family know how to open and close a door. My neighbours are elderly but calm. They may not get it right, but they would never try to force something. They are not strong enough to break a lock. There was definitely a mechanical issue. Two days later it jammed again and he returned. He again blamed user error, told me I was not qualified to use a screwdriver and I had caused damage to the lock when I discovered a stripped thread which might be part of the problem (he was the one who used an electric screwdriver while I used a hand one, much less likely to cause damage). After he had blamed me and my neighbours several times for breaking the lock I asked him to leave. He did not leave, and continued berating me so I tried to steer him to the door by a hand on his shoulder. Later that evening he rang me back to make sure I knew I was wrong and he was right. I’m afraid I cannot recommend this man.
MH JoineryThinks he knows better then someone who’s been doing his job for 30 years broke the handle witch I changed for free returned two days in a row to fix the handle he had broken buy stripping the threads of the screws of the handle after telling him not to touch it .The problem the lady next door keeps trying to turn the key with out full turning the 3 point lock I can’t fix human error the second time I returned to fix the lock witch took 5 minutes same as the first time wasting he was very aggressive and pushed me i think he was right and would be better not putting a review complete idiotic man even pushed me I think he’s just up set he tried to fix it and completely failed a simple task I will not return to job after being assaulted!
